I have to wonder how Michelle Malkin hasn't picked up on this story yet? Apparently... according to the Drudge Report... (which is FAR more reliable than many things you read on men's room walls in New Jersey rest stop stalls) John Kerry actually.... wait.

My heart flutters. I need a moment... I'm all verklempt...

There, I'm ok now. Yes. Apparently, John Kerry took something out of his pocket prior to the debate last Thursday. There... I said it. Yes, it's true.

John Kerry removed something from his pocket. It looked suspiciously like a pen and some blank index cards to take notes on. But as we all know...

Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states: "No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

John Kerry may have actually, during A DEBATE, taken out a pen and some blank cards to take notes on from his jacket pocket. Can you imagine?

Why... if he would do THAT he might even... well, the mind simply boggles. He might even... oh, I don't know... lie and lead us into an invasion of a country not related to the war on terror, or... dismantle the EPA, or .... give out no bid contracts to companies owned by his friends, or...

No. It's too horrible to think of. I can't go on.

How was I ever convinced to vote for this... this... CHEATER!?!?!?

Enough sarcasm. Is the conservative side really THAT desperate? Apparently so. It's been picked up by Glenn Reynolds and Outside the Beltway. That must make it official, right?

I'll update here as soon as Malkin picks it up.

EDIT: An update is posted to this story, and an apology is in order to Outside the Beltway. They were not endorsing the veracity of this Drudge story, simply reporting that it existed. Sorry guys.
