Not all quiet on the western front?

After reading this CNN article about a young marine with a tendency to survive bomb attacks ,I got thinking that all might not be quite as rosy in Iraqas the official version describes it. Yes, we loose a couple soldiers a day to bomb attacks, but it's a large country and a lot of soldiers. But if you read that article from the other site - it looks like there are a lot of bombs that fail to seriously hurt anyone (and therefore make it in the 6 o'clock news).
There must have been a huge influx of those outside terrorists that do all that opposition. Probably pushing those 155 mm shells on bicycles, one at a time, through the jungle.
